Cinnabun is a 3yr old, 4lb Chihuahua. She is not fond of strangers and has a big bark, so her family will need to understand how to properly introduce her to others.
She does not realize that she is only 4lbs. She can be grumpy when disturbed, and she has a tendency to guard things she thinks are hers like her foster mom. Because of these little quirks, she will need someone who is experienced in dog behavior and body language, and the applicant must be able to describe their experience in detail. Cinnabun will not be ready for adoption until after her spay and hernia repair surgery. She also has a cherry eye, which will be repaired by our vet at that time.
Additionally, she has a Grade 4 luxating patella right rear leg which does not bother her at all, but will need to be monitored throughout her life. She loves the yard, loves wrestling with her foster brothers, and loves to sleep in the big bed with her foster mom and fur siblings. She must be allowed to sleep with her human s in her future home. Fostered in. Adoption Fee. Vero Beach, FL. She healed up very nicely and quickly, and she's ready for adoption. Freya is very sweet with people, is fine with dogs and cats, but seems to be more people oriented.
Her ideal home would have no more than one or two other dogs, as she is a bit of a diva. She loves sleeping under the covers, and she says her future home must know that she is going to be sleeping in her human's bed with them. She loves sunbathing! She's a very sweet and low maintenance girl!
Huey is a very sweet little boy who came to our rescue with three other Cresteds. He loves going for leash walks, is up for adventure, but he loves napping, too.
He's housetrained and a great big personality in his little body. Bradenton, FL. Chinese Crested. Her foster mom reports that she loves to snuggle and likes treats. She follows her around like a shadow and is a Velcro dog. If you go out the door, she is going also. She along with other dogs and keeps her distance from cats. Skye loves men and women. She will walk in circles when upset and unsure. She has to be taken outside when she wakes up in the morning. She will miss the edge of a potty pad but tries to hit it, and she will mark.
Skye visited the vet the other day and had her dental and work-up. Her bloodwork has been done twice, and her liver count was a little off both times. She is otherwise healthy, and we believe it's due to her age.
We would encourage her future adopter to do a recheck on her bloodwork in about six months to compare to the baseline and continue monitoring. Sarasota, FL. Yoshi hopes for a quiet future home with a calm dog or two to look toward for guidance and assurance. Yoshi will not be placed in a home with multiple dogs or active dogs, as he is fearful of them and would thrive in a quiet home.
He is a very sweet dog who just needs a little time and patience and yummy treats, and he will blossom into a little white shadow in his new home. He's housetrained to a point, where if you're proactive about potty trips, he doesn't have any mistakes. He does kind of like to poop inside if not given ample time outside, but he's a Crested, so it comes with the territory.
Yoshi does not like leashed walks and must have a fenced in yard because of this. He's around 10ish years old, is super sweet, totally adorable, but also a diabetic with a heart murmur.
Franklin was in rough shape when he came to the rescue, and he hardly had any hair. He was also blind! He is a couch potato, a super sonic snuggler, and a Velcro dog. He must be in a home with someone who is home most all of the time. He has separation anxiety and will scratch the door to try and get to his humans when they leave, so he has to go in a crate when his people leave, which he doesn't like either.
He gets stressed, so it's a must to have someone home with him. He loves car rides and is very social, so he's always happy to tag along! Franklin gets along with cats, dogs and all humans. He really is the sweetest little love on the planet. He's heartworm negative, neutered, vaccinated, and he's ready for his forever home. His future home must have diabetes experience. He receives twice daily insulin injections and needs regular monitoring of his blood glucose. He's a very good boy for all injections and pokes. He also loves eating his breakfast and dinner!
